Sometimes I start thinking about how fast life passes by. It is unreal how it can feel a certain occasion was just yesterday, but in fact ten years have passed. Don’t you just want to stop time sometimes for a while to regroup and figure out where to go from here. These kinds of thoughts inspired the next poem. Here it goes.
Pass By
With every breath you take
You come closer to your last day
You think you know what’s at stake
But your life is in disaray
–
You take a dive back under the sea
To stop the time just for a while
With blurry vision and lungs that plea
I am not ready yet to face the trial
–
I can’t stay underwater much longer
I am running out of air
I wish I was much stronger
To withstand my lives affairs
–
I cannot stop the time I got
And I eventually will die
No matter if I take a breath or not
My life will pass by
–
